We’ve been away for the past three weeks – in South Africa! For many years we’ve been talking about making this trip with dear friends and finally decided that it had to be now, while they were there anyway for business. The trip was amazing. We flew into Johannesburg, spent a week in two private game reserves adjoining the Kruger National Park, flew to Port Elizabeth and spent a week driving the Garden Route, enjoying scenery, vineyards and lovely coastal towns, ending up for a week in Cape Town and capping it all off with a stay at a mutual friends’ secluded seashore cabin on the Western Cape. It isn’t lost on me how fortunate we are to have been able to experience all this.
In addition to culling all the pictures I took, it is going to take me a while to catch up here at home, so it may be a few weeks before I post anything more here. For now, a few images from a beach walk at the Garden Route National Park:
